The Wonder of New Birth
My dear siblings in Christ,
I write to you this day a letter of hope in the midst of pain. Think not of these trials as a knife within
our chests, a pounding pain from breath to breath. Think of your suffering as that of a woman heavy with child
going through the pains of labor to give new life birth. As an expectant mother in fear and pain, yet with joy
of the new discovery to be made from bearing her burden. And think of our Lord as the excited, yet, loving and
protective husband that must watch us endure the pain, though he offers us His support and strength. In this viewpoint,
take another look at your life in light of how much God loves us and wants to help see us through to the glory
of a new life.
