Being a Christian is supposed to be a blessing, right? What happens when it is not? We know God is faithful, but what do we do when we feel He isn't? When our feelings get in the way of our faith? What happens when God doesn't seem to be living up to His promises; promises like:

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans that I have for you,' declares the LORD, "plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope.
Psalm 37:4 Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.
John 10:10b I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.
Matthew 6:31-33 Do not worry then, saying, "What will we eat?' or "What will we drink?' or "What will we wear for clothing?' For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
It can be difficult, if not impossible, for us to grow spiritually, if we continually feel that
God has abandoned us. Most of us would never say that, but we feel it, don't we? How do we get back into a right relationship with God? How do we get past the resentment and even anger directed toward God for letting us down?

That's what this web site is all about. Sometimes the pain in our lives is nearly unbearable. If we can't trust God, we feel, then to whom can we turn for help and comfort? We are

Too many times we were told that through a relationship with Jesus, all of our troubles would be gone. But guess what? We were lied to! We were not lied to by Jesus, who told us that "in this world you will have trouble. But guess what? I have overcome the world!" We were lied to by well-meaning people who think they are helping, but who are giving us wrong information on which to base our spiritual lives.

The simple fact is that sometimes it hurts to be a Christian. Believe me, I know. This site exists to help those Christians who are hurting figure out how to deal with their pain in a better way. There is nothing incredibly new on this site (why reinvent the wheel?). The purpose of this site is to gather together some links together that may help other Christians who are in pain. It will not be fancy or elaborate, or be heavy on graphics, either, so that it will load faster.

It is only meant to give you some references that may help you find the answers you need. Believe me, if I had the answers, I wouldn't need to gather these links together. The desire to build this site arose from some incredibly painful experiences I have had and some situations that I am still involved in. I need the answers as much as you do. Any healing or answers must begin with the assumption that GOD LOVES US. Whether or not we feel that this is true, we
know that it is.
