1.) Many people who commit suicide don't really want to die. They just no longer know how to live with the feelings they are having.
2.) People commit suicide when their pain exceeds their ability to deal with that pain.
I was six years old the first time I ever thought about killing myself, and as much as I would like to, I can't tell you that I don't still think about it, even now. I have tried to research suicide on the Internet in an attempt to intellectually convince myself that suicide is not the answer. So far, I have succeeded in doing that, because I am still here.
The information on this page is grouped into three main categories; links for people are considering suicide, links for people who are concerned about someone they love possibly being suicidal, and links for families and friends of those who have actually committed suicide.
A disclaimer of sorts: I have not read every word of every page of every link here, so you will have to decide for yourself which are valuable to your situation.
God's healing to you.
